Marcelo Rueda was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. 
Co-founder of DANZA COMUN (www.danzacomun.com), holds a BFA in Sociology from Colombia’s National University and a Certificate from the Professional Studies Program given by the Jose Limon Dance Foundation. From 2004-2007 has received grants from the Fulbright Comission and the Limón Institute to study technique and choreography in New York City, and recently from UNESCO in order to develop his own choreography in India. 
Mr. Rueda’s work has been presented in several international festivals in Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Switzerland, India and the U.S.
He has been teaching dance professionally since 1997 to different audiences including actors and dancers from universities and high schools. Currently occupies a position as Future Faculty Fellow at Temple University’s Department of Dance. He lives in Philadelphia.


Carolina del Hierro is a native of Cali (Colombia), the Salsa capital of the world better referred to as  “The Heaven’s Branch”. 
She is an anthropologist and a contemporary dancer. She has been working with children and young audiences for four years as a dance teacher. 
Among others she has studied composition with Marianela Boán, Spirals with Irene Dowd, Composition with Neil Greenberg, Alexander Technique with Shelley Senter, Composition with Susan Rethorst, Klein-Mahler Technique with Barbara Mahler, Improvisation with Jennifer Monson, Chi Kung with Daria Fain, Choreography with Tere O’Connor, Improvisation with Sara Pearson & Patrick Widrig, Limon Technique with Colin O’Connor, Releasing with Yvonne Meier and Ballet at the Oldenburgische Staatstheater in Germany and The Dance School in Mackay, Australia.
She has also been invited to develop her own work and perform throughout Colombia, Venezuela, India and the U.S.
Currently occupies a position as Teaching Assistant at Temple University’s Department of Dance. She lives in Philadelphia.
